What is gravity drilling technology?
Gravity Drilling Technology, using the MTM 1200 Gravity Drill, allows for completely trenchless and completely non-invasive implementation of water and sewage networks in existing infrastructure. The device is particularly useful when it is necessary to perform work between existing sewage wells in dense urban development. The use of this technology reduces the emission of harmful substances into the environment, lowers the energy consumption of works and reduces the nuisance of works for the local community.

The small dimensions of the drilling rig allow it to be inserted through a typical DN600 well hatch and installed in DN1000, DN1200 or DN1500 wells.

Simply designate and secure the area covered by gravity drilling work.

The implementation of networks between non-standard wells is also possible by using a portable starting chamber and adapters in which the drilling rig will be installed

It is also possible to install the drilling rig in wells with low mechanical strength. Gravity drilling technology allows for the construction of sewage networks in most cases regardless of ground conditions and depth. The presence of groundwater is also not an obstacle. The precise localization system combined with the innovative pilot head control system allows for drilling with the highest possible accuracy of up to 0,2%.

Most often, the Gravity Drill is used to make connections between typical DN1200 wells, in densely built-up urban agglomerations.
ADVANTAGES OF GRAVITY DRILLING TECHNOLOGY
- the starting chamber is a well (new or existing) DN 1000, DN 1200 or larger.
- the work can be carried out from typical sewage wells, without the need for any interference with existing buildings or surfaces.
- the ability to carry out drilling work from typical wells without the need to interfere with the surrounding infrastructure.
- the drilling machine is placed in the well through a typical DN 600 manhole.
- The construction of the channel does not require any excavation, the work begins and ends in the well.
- no need to make starting chambers and drain them
- possibility of installing the machine in wells of any non-standard shape and working from a trench using a mobile starting chamber and/or adapters
- possibility of carrying out work from a starting well with low mechanical strength
- possibility of working in a well equipped with space-limiting elements without the need to dismantle them
- It is possible to drill at depths of even more than 15 m.
- technology allows the channel to be constructed with an accuracy of up to 2‰ (depending on the soil).
- the drill spindle can work at the very bottom and under the well cover.
- drilling is possible below the groundwater level. This applies to the entire drilling route, including the area around the well.
- work in soils of different drilling classes
- the technology used does not reduce soil compaction, but actually allows for the zone around the pipe to be compacted.
- during drilling work on active collectors, there is no need to block the flow of sewage.
- the highest efficiency of sewage network implementation compared to other available technologies
